Coaching:  We are now accepting coaches applications for the 2013 Football Season.  If you would like to coach this season, please fill out the Dunkirk Warriors Coaching Application.  You will also need to include the Background Check Form.  All coaches must also be certified through the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) in order to coach in the Calvert County Youth Football League (CCYFL).  Please visit www.nays.org for additional information on certification.

Walk-Up Registration will be held on June 22, 2013 from 9 - 12 at Dunkirk Park.  Registration forms can be downloaded here.

(*)Denotes Playbacker.  Child may remain at that age division and compete as a playbacker no matter how much they exceed the maximum weight listed on the chart.  A playbacker is defined as any player that exceeds the maximum listed weight and must play on the defensive or offensive line (tackle to tackle). 
 
Flag Football:  Flag football teaches the basics of football without contact.  Children ages 4 - 5 may play flag football -- no weight limitations.
 
14U Division:  14 year olds may be in high school and participate in this division if they meet the weight criteria. 
 
UNLIMITED DIVISION – Maximum age is 14 as of  12-31-2013.  League is set-up for 6th, 7th & 8th graders. NO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.



NEW:  All football players will be required to have a Maryland issued ID card in order to play.  The Maryland issued ID cards will replace the club ID cards that we've used in past years.  The Maryland ID cards may be obtained from the DMV or any DMV satellite office that issues driver's licenses.  In order to get the ID card, you'll need to bring your child's birth certificate and social security card, along with your driver's license.  The cost of the ID card is $15.00 and is good for 5 years.  ID Cards are not required at the time of registration, but will be required at the league official weigh-ins.


Practice Times: Will be posted under the Practice Info Tab closer to the season start.  Practices can be up to 4 times a week until school starts.  Once school starts teams may practice up to 3 times a week.  Practices normally begin on August 1.

-Flag, 7U, 8U and 12U will report to Mt. Harmony Elementary School.
-9U, 10U, 11U and 13/14U will report to Dunkirk Baptist Church


Game Schedules will be posted as soon as they become available -- usually late August.


Equipment Needed:

Tackle Football Players are required to provide: Practice Pants, Practice Jersey, Cleats, Game Jersey, Girdle and Athletic Cup.

Dunkirk Warriors will provide:  Game Pants (never to be worn at practice), Shoulder Pads, Mouth Piece, Helmet, Chin Strap, and 4 Piece Pant pad set (Knee, Thigh ).

Flag Players shall provide: Athletic Cup and cleats. The Warriors will provide Jersey and Game Pants (Never to be worn to practice).


Equipment Hand-Out will be held on July 27 from 9 - 12 at Dunkirk Park.    

  If you are unable to attend the equipment handout, you must make arrangements with your sons' coach to receive equipment.  All players must have necessary equipment prior to   practicing.


 2013 WEIGH-INS :  Date to be decided.

  Players must weigh in wearing SHORTS, T-SHIRT, SOCKS OR SANDALS -- no football uniforms! 

  If a player is unable to make the official team weigh in, an appointment must be made with the CCYFL Board to be weighed at a later date.  All players must be weighed prior to game play. 

 

First Weigh-In:  Roster and ID Cards are required in order for a player to be weighed

ROSTERS MUST BE SUPPLIED AT THE TIME OF WEIGH-IN.

Players must weigh-in as a team.  7U through Unlimited.  Late arrivals must wait until all divisions have finished!

Players not listed on original roster must have a completed Add/Drop Slip and ID Card.
